We invited my brother-in-law and his girlfriend to cocktails so we could get to know her better. Girlfriend-in-law paid the bill! suh-WEET! Even when I tried to pay the second round, she told the bartender not to accept my payment. haha Even if I had paid, I would still like this place and their cocktails. It is a nice atmosphere, not too loud, comfortable seating, warm whimsical decorations, friendly service, and clean bathrooms. They have a large list of cocktails, mocktails and other non-alcoholic beverages, as well as beer and wine. They can make all the traditional cocktails. A regular told me the manhattan is top notch, but the cherries aren’t the best he’s seen. Cherry seemed alright to me. They also have several house cocktails and a few specials to choose from. Between us 4, we tried several different cocktails. We even tried the house cocktail designed for the bitterest of liqueurs, Jeppson’s Malört. All were deemed tasty by all! They offer several food items from a full kitchen, including appetizers, sandwiches, salads, breakfast, and dinner. They even have veggie burger, gluten free crackers, and gluten free (GF) fried chicken! ! ! Free parking on the street. No minors allowed, bummer… l’d like it better if kids were allowed, but it’s so good it’s gets the 5th star. If you choose to give a thumbs-up 👍🏽 or not, I hope you found my review helpful!

So impressed with the new ownership! Creative and yummy cocktails. Inviting space- I love the art work. Bartender/owner obviously is passionate about his craft. Food hits too!

This place always has the best playlist when I go in and the food never disappoints. They have fun drinks too. This photo is from the 2025 Meltdown sandwich, a benefit county-wide in which participating locations offer their take on delicious grilled cheese sandwiches and $2 from each one sold benefits the local food bank.

The Conservatory in McMinnville is an absolute gem. The vibe has a perfect balance of relaxed, welcoming, and classy. It’s the kind of place that feels just right for a date night or a place to meet a friend. I had been here a couple times before under the prior ownership, but this place has really improved. The cocktails were outstanding and the food was fabulous. Every item we tried felt elevated in both quality and flavor. My favorite was the Philly cheesesteak sandwich. This is exactly the kind of spot you want in your regular rotation. I’ll definitely be back and would highly recommend The Conservatory for a fabulous Friday night date night atmosphere or anytime you’re craving great food, great drinks, and great vibes.

I had the best experience and also my first time. The drinks were outstanding 👏 flavors right on the point. The appetizers were perfectly cooked and the salad with salmon is something I enjoyed!!!! Don't hesitate if you are in town and try this amazing restaurant!!! I will be back soon!

Came here a couple years ago. Liked it then but love it now. The menue is limited but I like that in a place. Better chance the food will be fresh and the end product consistent and that's what I always get. The burgers are smashed and caramelized. The brussel sprouts with balsamic glaze are a great snack but the atmosphere and Owner/Bartender is top shelf. When the rest of Mac rolls up the sidewalks for the night, he's there. Not pushing or slinging drinks but will readily engage in good conversation. Its a great place to go, even alone, to grab a small bite, text and scroll. The cappuccino is great. If you want great service, quality consistent food and a chill, welcoming environment. You'll find it here.

The new owner is an awesome guy! As a self proclaimed and validated food critic, they have THEE most flavorful burger I've ever had. The quality of the wagyu beef is unmatched!!! Their homemade ranch is 🔥 and their fries are crispy and made in house! They recently added this new chicken sandwich to the menu and it is so filling. In conclusion, amazing food, amazing vibe, local friendly ownership highly recommend!!!!

Fractal Bar (formerly the Conservatory) is a serious upgrade. The cocktails are excellent — creative, well-balanced, and consistently executed without feeling overcomplicated. They’ve elevated the space while keeping things approachable, which is harder to pull off than it sounds. The bartenders are friendly, knowledgeable, and happy to walk you through the menu or make a recommendation based on what you like. You can tell there’s real care behind the program. There are some odd negative reviews tied to the ownership change, but a lot of the same staff are still here — it doesn’t reflect the experience we’ve had at all. We haven’t tried the new food menu yet, but everything we saw coming out looked great and we’ll definitely be back for it. The vibe is dialed in — dim lighting, comfortable, and exactly the kind of place you want to settle into for a couple of drinks. Also worth noting: they’re open seven days a week, which makes it an easy go-to.

February is Grilled Cheese month in Yamhill County and Conservatory Bar knocked it out of the park! I've been there several other times and every time I've been there the food has been great! They also have interesting made from scratch cocktails that are unique! It's a bar so, respectfully no kids are allowed. Regular menu items can change but this is what they have as of 02/28/26.
